What a year of not documenting my life... I thought it might be good to start with 2023. Summarising the Second Half of 2023 The end of an era finally came when Faten left for Malaysia. I felt like I lost a friend, but we still text nearly every day—just that she's not physically here. Jess came to visit in November, and we had a whole "Jess & Asma Days of Fun," filled with a lot of reminiscing and pure joy. One of my best nights was spent dancing and laughing with THG at Trev's. I played quite a bit of tennis, did a lot of walking, hung out with friends, worked on my career a bit, and became a permanent resident. I was in Malaysia throughout December and had an amazing time. I attended Hanz's wedding and that was chaotic; not the wedding itself but it was the whole situation with me trying to get to Malaysia.
